Joining the King's staff for the 2013-14 school year is assistant coach Shaun Church.
Church comes to King's with an outstanding background in the sport. A graduate of Hicksville High School in Long Island, NY, Church played two years at Onondaga Community College where he was an offensive and defensive midfielder under six-time national championship coach Chuck Wilbur. Church served as the team captain in 2009 when Onondaga completed an undefeated season which included a National Junior College Athletic Association national championship.
He then transferred to traditional NCAA Division III power Salisbury University where he helped the Sea Gulls to back-to-back national championships in 2011 and 2012. The 2011 team finished with a 21-1 mark while the 2012 team concluded a perfect 23-0 record. Church graduated from Salisbury in 2012 with a degree in Psychology.
In his four years as a collegiate player, Church was a part of two teams that combined for a record of 78-3 with three national titles.
Upon graduation, Church spent the 2013 season as an assistant coach with King's Freedom Conference rival Eastern University. There he helped the Eagles to a 15-2 record, the Freedom Conference championship, and a berth in the NCAA Division III national tournament.
