Rachel Welch

RACHEL WELCH

Rachel Welch is in her second season with the King's women's lacrosse program where she serves as an assistant coach.

Coach Welch is a graduate of Rutgers University in New Jersey where she played varsity lacrosse at the Division I level. She was a three-time Big-East All-Academic selection as well as being named three times to the IWLCA All-Academic Squad.

While at Rutgers she helped organize the team's fundraising efforts on behalf of the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation to raise awareness and support for children suffering with pediatric brain tumors, an organization King's has also been involved with.

At Rutgers she was also a member of the Scarlet Knight's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She was a representative/contributor to the Big East SAAC Blog in 2012. She also volunteered for several activities, including Read Across America, Elijah's Promise Soup Kitchen, and Habitat for Humanity.

Welch is a native of Medford, NJ and is a graduate of Shawnee High School, earning all-South Jersey honors while twice being named All-Burlington County.

She is a 2013 Rutgers graduate, earning a degree in Communications.
