King's Swimmers Versus Susquehanna and Drew

KING'S SWIMMERS VERSUS DREW, SUSQUEHANNA 


WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's swim team went 1-1 while the women's squad finished 0-2 at a tri-meet Saturday Scandlon Gymnasium.

The King's men defeated Drew 57-38 while falling to Susquehanna 52-41. The Lady Monarchs dropped a 56-39 verdict to Drew and lost to Susquehanna 57-30.

For the men, Ron Argus won the 50-freestyle with an MAC qualifying time of 24.44.  Brian Seslar was second in the 200-freesyle with a 2:02.34.

Pat Seslar was second in the 50-freestyle with a 24.73; second in the 100-freestyle at 55.61; and second in the 500-freestyle at 5:57.08.

Eric Stencovage was second in the 100-butterfly with a 59.96.  Caleb Farrell was second in the 100-breaststroke with an MAC qualifying time of 1:12.25.
Highlighting the women, King's Sara Schmader, Caitlin Selitto, Rebecca Smith, and Maggie Nealer broke the school-record in the 200-Freestyle with a time of 1:54.72. They bettered the previous mark of 1:56.06, set in 2003.
Nealer captured the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:59.92. Jess Thomas won the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:21.41.

Schmader was second in the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:33.90 and the 100-butterfly at 1:12.09. Smith posted an MAC qualifying time of 1:10.28 with a third-place finish in the 100-backstroke.
King's returns to action Wednesday with a 6:00 p.m. tri-meet with Lycoming and FDU-Florham at the Wilkes-Barre CYC.
