LADY MONARCHS DROP ONE ON THE ROAD

WILKES-BARRE -- The Women's soccer team of King's college dropped a game to SUNY-Farmingdale this afternoon by a score of 5-1. The Monarchs record now stands at 1-2.

Junior Midfielder Kelly Puffenberger scored the lone goal for King's. The goal came in 19th minute of the match. The one goal was not for a lack of trying. Freshman Becky Chateauneuf led all players in shots, taking five, putting three of them on goal. Megan Inama and Sara Coletta both helped the offensive effort with two shots apiece.

Goalkeeper Sara Ciarlo earned her keep making five saves in all 90 minutes of the match.

The Lady Monarchs are back in action this coming weekend when they take on the visiting Lady Falcons of Cedar Crest College. Kick off for that match is set for 7:00pm under the lights at the new turf field at the Betzler Fields Sports Complex.
