EASTERN WOMEN SOCCER DOWNS KING'S 6-0 WITH BIG SECOND HALF
WILKES-BARRE -- Defending Freedom Conference champion Eastern University broke open a scorelss game with six second-half goals as the visiting Eagles posted a 5-0 victory over host King's College on a rainy Friday night at McCarthy Stadium
Eastern broke through at 56:58 when Alysia Goodmnan scored on a header following a cross from Carly Inch.
The Eagles struck quickly just 2:33 when Kristine Zeist took a pass from Allison Inch and drilled the ball into the upper right corner of the net.
Zeiset added her second goal at 65:10 following a corner when she headed in a rebound off the hands of King's goalie Rachael Donatiello. Liz O'Keefe added the fourth goal when her shot form 35 yards out sneaked into the upper right corner of the net. with 5:10 left in the contest.
Goodman tallied her final goal at with 2:59 remaining with an assist from O'Keefe.
Eastern outshot King's 18-3 and held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Donatiello made six saves for King's while Eastern keeper Whitney McCloud did not post a save.
