King’s Women’s Soccer Falls to FDU-Florham, 6-0

LADY MONARCHS FALL TO FDU-FLORHAM 6-0
 
MADISON, NJ - - Lora Fink and Brittany Kanickij scored two goals each to lead host FDU-Florham to a 6-0 victory over King's College Saturday in Mdison, NJ.
 
With the win, FDU-Florham improved to a 7-8-2 overall record witha 3-2-1 Freedom Conference mark. King's meanwhile fell to a 4-13 overall record and a 0-6 conference ledger.
 
Ashley Vieira got the opening goal for FDU-Florham in the 26:01 mark of the first half with a penalty kick. Fink would notch her first goal of the game to give the Devils the 2-0 advantage at the 23:10 mark. Kanickij would make the lead 3-0 by scoring off a breakaway at 40:02.
 
The Devils would continue to score in the second half as Fink netted her second goal with 24:48 left to play. Kanickij would increase the lead, scoring on a breakaway goal to give FDU-Florham the 5-0 lead. Michelle Felix would cap the offense with the sixth goal of the game on another breakaway.
 
FDU-Florham outshot King's 19-6 and held a 11-3 advantage in corner kicks.

King's goalie Melissa D'Aniello made four saves while Lauren Albrecht made four stops.
 
The Lady Monarchs will continue their road stretch with a trip to the Bronx, N.Y. on Wednesday, to take on the City College of New York for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference tilt.
