KING'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETE AT MIDEAST REGIONALS
SLIPPERY ROCK, PA – The King's College men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Mideast Regionals on the campus Slippery Rock University Saturday afternoon. The men's squad finished 35th of 47 teams, while the women also captured 35th place in a field of 45 teams.
For the men, Greg Kelly led the way finishing 181st with a time of 28:53.8. Jeff Cort followed at 215th at 29:49.9. Brandon Sweeney captured 221st crossing the tape at 29:57.5, while Brent Lewandowski took home 238th at 30:27.5. Nick Jallat (241st/30:35.1), Patrick Gramling (253rd/31:11.4), and Bob MacNeal (272nd/32:09.5) rounded out the Monarch runners.
For the women, Shannon McGowan was the Lady Monarchs top finisher in 95th at 24:49.8. Molly Brown finished in 141st at 25:41.6, while Jill O'Malley came in at 27:22.7 for 222nd place. Kirstie Nicol (249th/28:00), Hannah Bestwick (275th/29:18.7), and Hannah Eckles (313th/34:25.9) rounded out King's runners.
The teams complete their 2010 slate following the race.
