King's Makes Their Home Debut Thursday Night Against Baptist Bible College

Women’s Soccer Welcomes Baptist Bible College Thursday in Home Debut, View LiveStats

WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's soccer team will make their 2010 home debut Thursday night when the Lady Monarchs welcome Baptist Bible College to McCarthy Stadium for a non-conference matchup at 7:00 p.m.

King's enters the contest with a 1-2 overall mark after splitting a pair of games at the Centenary College Invitational Tournament this past weekend. King's recorded their first win of the season with a convincing 9-0 victory over Medgar Evers College on Sunday. Junior Jade Zuniga (Tannersville, PA/Pocono Mountain East) scored three goals with an assist while junior Becky Chateauneuf (Watertown, CT/Holy Cross) tallied two goals with three assists in the win. Junior goalie Danielle Johnson (Bear Creek, PA/Coughlin) has been steady in net boasting a 3.82 goals against average with 26 saves.

 

Baptist Bible College stands 1-2 overall following a 1-0 defeat at Ursinus College on Saturday. Erin Law tops the Defenders with four points on two goals, while Sandy Richie adds three points with a goal and an assist. Goalie Cierra Byron has a 2.75 goals against average with 26 saves in three starts for Baptist Bible.

 

Following the match, King's will continue their home stretch with a non-conference tilt against D'Youville College on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
