King's College Falls to Eastern in Freedom Opener

Wilkes-Barre, PA-- The King's College women's soccer team dropped a 6-0 decision to Eastern University in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams.
The Lady Monarchs best chance to score came on a free kick that was headed behind Eastern keeper Alyisa Goodman and went just wide of the net off the head of Brianne Schmidt.
Eastern got a pair of goals from Charlotte Laurie at 6:43 and 47:59.  Tess Beckwith netted a goal at 18:30 to set the halftime score at 2-0.
The Eagles got goals from Kelsey Doutrich, Ashley Graybill and Amy Thomas to close out the second half.
The Lady Monarchs will return to action Wednesday when they host Lebanon Valley at 7:00 pm at McCarthy Stadium.
