Wilkes-Barre, PA-- The King's College men's soccer team fell 3-1 to Freedom Conference foe Misericordia Tuesday afternoon at Leffler Field.
The teams played a scoreless first half with play bouncing back and forth, but Misericordia (10-1-1, 2-1 Freedom) got on the board just 41 seconds into the second half on a header by Rob Wiacek.
The Cougars netted a goal at 81:02 off the foot of Dan Pinto and then tacked on an insurance tally from Eric Kishbaugh at 87:38.
King's (7-3-2, 1-2) picked up a goal as the ball pinballed around in front of the net and onto the foot of
Tim Meyer at 89:29 to set the final.
Mark Labbadia was hooked with the loss for the Monarchs making four saves, while Dan Fritz made one save to pick up the win for Misericordia.
The Monarchs continue conference play at FDU-Florham on Saturday at 11:00 am.
