WOMEN'S SOCCER SUFFERS 3-0 LOSS AT FDU
MADISON, NJ -- The King's College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to host FDU-Florham Saturday in Madison, NJ.
With the win, FDU improved to 7-8-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the Freedom Conference. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 2-11 and 0-4.
FDU took a 1-0 halftime lead when Jenna Campfield scored with 23:34 left in the opening stanza. The Devils upped the lead to 2-0 when Kim Campfield found the back of the net with 14:07 left in the second half. FDU pushed across the final goal with 8:50 on the clock on a goal by Ashley Vieria.
The Devils held an 18-5 advantage in shots while FDU owned a 6-1 lead in corner kicks. Lady Monarch goalie Lauren Duguid posted 10 saves in the contest.
King's returns to action when the Lady Monarchs host Wilkes in a 4:00 p.m. matchup.
