Samantha Beadle scored a goal and added an assist as the King's College women's soccer team earned a 3-1 win over Baptist Bible Thursday afternoon at Defender Field in non-conference action.
With the first half winding down Beadle netted the first goal on a chip shot over the goalie at 41:15 to give the Lady Monarchs (3-12) a 1-0 halftime lead.
The Defenders (7-8-1) answered at 49:30 when Erin Law netted an unassisted tally. The Lady Monarchs then countered when
Mary Kate Lambert scored her second goal in as many games at 75:18 on a shot through the hands of the goalie and into the back of the net.
King's added an insurance tally by
Jade Zuniga just three minutes later on a pass from Beadle to set the final score.
Lauren Duguid picked up the win in net making four saves, her counterpart Jacklyn Dauth made five stops.
King's held a 12-10 advantage in shots with both teams taking four corner kicks.
The Lady Monarchs return to action and conference play when they host DeSales at McCarthy Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
