Wilkes-Barre-- After a lengthy lightning delay the King's College men's soccer team played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie with visiting Dickinson Sunday afternoon at Leffler Field.
Mark Labbadia made nine saves including three huge saves in overtime to preserve the second shutout of the year.
King's best chance to score came late in the second half when
Tim Meyer dribbled his way around the goalkeeper and had his shot cleared by a Dickinson defender right in front of the net.
Joey Bender and Meyer each tallied two shots. King's totaled eight shots for the game while Dickinson picked up 24 shots.
The Monarchs return to action Thursday when they host Baptist Bible at 7:00 pm at McCarthy Stadium. The game can be followed on livestats at www.sidearmstats.com/kings/msoc.
