King's Women's Soccer Falls in Overtime to New Jersey City University
Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-- The King's College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 overtime decision to New Jersey City University Wednesday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.
The Gothic Knights scored the game-winner just 1:17 into the extra frame off the foot of Alicia Weber when she found a loose ball right on the doorstep after a cornerkick from Kaitlyn Lima.
King's had a 12-7 advantage in shots including a 10-2 advantage in the second half. New Jersey City University (5-6-2) goalkeeper Brittany Hoffman made 10 saves, nine in the second frame, to keep the game scoreles.
Jessica Natale took the loss in net for the Lady Monarchs (2-7-1) making four saves while facing seven shots.
Ivy Nulton took three shots for King's coming off the bench including putting two on net. 
Shaina Dougherty and Erin Larid also put two shots on net.
The Lady Monarchs return to Freedom Conference play on Saturday when they travel to DeSales for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff.
