King's Women's Soccer Battles to 0-0 Tie with Juniata

Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-- The King's College women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with unbeaten Juniata Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium.

The teams were even in shots with eight a piece. The Lady Monarchs held a 7-1 advantage after the half. Each team had one corner kick.

King's best opportunity to score came in the 88th minute when the Lady Monarchs crossed the ball and Shaina Dougherty chipped the ball off the left post.

Lauren Duguid was in net for King's making four saves while scoring the shutout. Kristen Twardowski made six saves for the Eagles. 

The Lady Monarchs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Baptist Bible College at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
