KING'S SWIM TEAM HOSTING SWIM GRAY EVENT FOR BRAIN CANCER AWARENESS
WILKES-BARRE -- On Saturday, the King's College Swimming Team will host a tri-meet with Cabrini College and Cedar Crest College at 1 PM in Scandlon Gym. The team will also be sponsoring a Swim Gray Day. Gray is the color for brain cancer and the event is being held to raise awareness and to support King's College women's basketball coach Brian Donoghue who is battling the illness.
The swim team is selling Swim Gray tee shirts, which can be seen on the attached flier. Shirts are $10.00 and can be purchased the rest of the week, or at the swim meet Saturday in the Scandlon Gym Pool. Those interested can contact King's head coach Matt Easterday at 570-208-5900, ext. 5758 or by email at
mattheweasterday@kings.edu
In addition, the swim team will have a bucket of candy for spectators. The candy is free but we are hoping that you will consider making a donation to support the Donoghue Family. All proceeds from Swim Gray tee-shirts and candy will be donated to the Donoghue Family. Anyone interested in making a donation above and beyond what we have listed can contact Coach Easterday.
