KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO MT. ST. MARY'S, 2-0
NEWBURGH, NY -- Marissa Segreta broke open a scoreless game at the half with one goal and one assist as host Mt. St. Mary's posted a 2-0 victory over visiting King's College in a non-conference women's soccer matchup Wednesday night in Newburgh, NY.
With the win the Knights improved to 8-4 while King's slipped to 6-4-1.
Entering the second half tied at 0-0, Segreto set up the first goal of the game with a crossing pass to Alaina Nedderman who scored off the feed 14:33 into the period. Segreto would then put the game with an unassisted goal with 6:01 left in the contest.
Mt. St. Mary's outshot King's 23-8 while holding a 5-0 advantage in corner kicks. King's goalie Jessica Natale made six saves in the game.
King's returns to action Saturday with a 2:30 p.m. matchup at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown.
