KING'S DESIR WINS URSINUS FALL BRAWL

COLLEGEVILLE -- King's College senior Tommy Desir won his second tournament title in as many weeks by capturing the 165-pound championship at the Ursinus College Fall Brawl Saturday in Collegeville.
Desir won his first match with a 13-3 major decision over Nicholas Wilkes. In the quarterfinals, he tallied a 12-4 major decision over Antonio Mancella of The College of New Jersey. He then earned a 7-5 semi-final victory over Tory Cain of Rochester Institute of Technology. He the finals he claimed his second tournament title in as many weeks with a 6-4 decision over second-seeded Jesse Bader of Hunter.
At 133, King's junior Aaron Perez won his first match with a 4-0 upset of fourth-seeded John Morrison of Ursinus before being forced to medical forfeit in the quarterfinals.
In the 157-pound class, King's Gordon Custer won his opening bout with a 1-0 decision over Ethan Testa of RIT, before registering an 11-4 quarterfinal decision over Andrew Boyer of West Chester. Custer was then pinned in 0:57 by top-seeded Richard Jasinski of Ursinus. In consolations, Custer won by a pin in 4:44 over Owen Mayer of Hunter before receiving a medical forfeit victory. In the consolation semi-finals Custer was then pinned in 1:21 by Luke Bileyu of West Chester.
Also at 157 for King's, junior Nate Seals dropped an 8-3 decision to Joe Paton of TCNJ in his first match. He then pinned Bryan Zoppo of McDaniel in 3:02 before registering a 15-8 decision over Andrew Boyer of West Chester. Seals then fell via technical fall to eventual third-place finisher Chase Boontjer of Division I Liberty
At 197-pounds, King's sophomore Ryan Longenberger won his first match with a 3-2 decision over Jared Weaver of Elizabethtown before posting an 8-4 decision over Zach Goldrosen of TCNJ. In the quarterfinals he dropped a 10-1 decision to eventual runner-up Nathan Neer of TCNJ. In the consolations, Longenberger earned a 3-2 decision over Camden Stoops of Gettysburg before losing by fall in a rematch with Weaver.
In the 285-pound class, Elijah Gresham dropped his first match by a technical fall to eventual champion Alex Henry of Division I Franklin & Marshall before withdrawing with a medical forfeit.
King's will next host the Pennsylvania/New York City Duals Saturday at 12:00 noon in Scandlon Gymnasium.
