KING'S VOLLEYBALL IMPROVES TO 4-0 WITH TRI-MEET SWEEP

HARRISBURG -- The King's College women's volleyball team improved to 4-0 on the year as the Lady Monarchs swept a tri-meet from Penn College Technology and host Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday.

King's defeated Penn College 3-0 by scores of 25-16, 26-24, 27-25. The Lady Monarchs then bested Penn State Harrisburg 25-16, 25-12, 25-13.

Against Penn College, Jessica Carr posted a team-high eight kills with two digs while Elen O'Donnell followed with six kills and seven digs. Aubrey Gryskiewicz totaled five kills and eight digs while Alexa Nelson also added five kills with three digs.  Mary Loughran dished out 32 assists with seven digs while Brandilee Soto and Sarah Busse chipped in with seven digs apiece.

In the match with Penn State Harrisburg, Emily Heimbecker led the way with eight kills and 19 digs while Nelson added eight kills and three digs. Mary Loughran contributed 36 assists with 14 digs while Kelsie Kramer posted seven kills and two blocks. Carr chipped in with six kills and four digs  while O'Donnell tallied eight digs.

King's will make its home debut Tuesday night when the Lady Monarchs host Penn State Hazleton at 7:00 p.m. in Scandlon Gymnasium.
