KING'S MEN'S SOCCER SURRENDERS LATE GOAL TO FALL TO MISERICORDIA 2-1

DALLAS -- Nick Von Egypt scored the game-winning goal with 2:29 remaining as the host Misericordia University men's soccer team pulled out a 2-1 victory over King's College in a Freedom Conference matchup Saturday night in Dallas.

With the win Misericordia improved to 7-3-1 overall and 1-1 in Freedom Conference play while King's slipped to 7-4-1 and 0-1 in league competition.

After a scoreless first half King's got on the board when David Stroh scored off an assist from Billy Brown with 32:00 left in the contest. The Cougars tied it up at 1-1 when Matt Norcini scored on a header.six minutes later.

With the game appearing to be headed to overtime, Von Egypt headed in a pass from Dante Ippolito for what roved to be the game-winner.
Misericordia outshot King's 15-7 while each team had six corner kicks. King's goalie Tyler Wilson made four saves.

The Monarchs return to the field Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m. matchup at Penn College of Technology in Williamsport.
