KING'S SWIMMERS SPLIT DUAL MEET WITH LEBANON VALLEY

ANNVILLE -- The King's College women's and men's swim teams split a dual meet with host Lebanon valley College Friday night in Annville.

King's women led from wire-to-wire in a 120-75 victory, improving to 6-1 on the year. The Monarch men, meanwhile, lost 138-63 and slipped to 3-3 on the year.

In the women's meet, Caroline Fitch won the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 10:23.93 and also touched first in the 400-freestyle at 5:01.74.  Macawley Brown captured the 200-meter freestyle with a 2:21.19 as well as the 100-freestyle at 1:03.96.

Rachel Jonas was a winner in the 50-meter freestyle at 29.72. Brigid Wynn won the 200-meter individual medley with a 2:36.49 and also captured the 100-backstroke at 1:12.31. Gabrielle Corpuz touched first in the 100-meter butterfly at 1:13.20 and was also second in the 200-individual medley with a 2:36.98.

King's team of Corpuz, Marybeth Rudy, Chrissy O'Loughlin, and Caitlin Trachhio won the 200-meter medley relay with a time of 2:15.98.Katie Fitch was second in the 400-freestyle at 5:07.96 and in the 200-freestyle with a 2:25.69. O'Loughlin finished second in the 100-butterfly at 1:15.62. Shannon Johnson placed second in the 800-freestyle with a time of 11:17.36.

For the men, Michael Sweeney was victorious in the 100-meter breaststroke at 1:11.45 and was second in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 10:01.02. Chris Lukashewski won the 100-meter freestyle with a 57.14 and was second in the 200-meter individual medley with a 2:27.81.

James McLaughlin was second in the 400-freestyle at 4:41.85. Lucas Crock finished third in the 50-freestyle at 28.63 and was also third in the 100-butterfly with a 1:11.25. Kyle Newton was third in the 100-backstroke at 1:09.61 while James Lynch was third in the 200-freestyle with a 2:17.36.  Andy Heilmann finished third in the 100-breaststroke at 1:24.85.

King's 200-freestyle relay team of Newton, Crock, McLaughlin, and Juwan Foster were second with a time of 1:50.01.

King's will next host the Diamond City Invitational Saturday and Sunday in Scandlon Gymnasium.
