King's Basketball Teams Host Delaware Valley on Wednesday

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. — The King's College men's and women's basketball teams are back in action Wednesday hosting Delaware Valley. The women's game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. while the men will follow at 8:00 p.m.

Ticket prices are set at $4 for adults and $2 for students. King's employees and students enter free with presentation of college I.D.'s. Fans unable to attend can follow the action online, via Live Video or LiveStats:

King's women enters the Freedom Conference match up with a 5-16 overall mark and a 1-9 record in leauge play after falling 90-44 to No. 7 FDU-Florham on Saturday. The Lady Monarchs are allowing 73.5 points per game while tallying 61.8 points per contest.

King's has had balance on offense with three different players averaging double-figure points. Junior Marissa Manning paces the King's offense with 13.6 points per game to go with 7.0 rebounds and 14 blocks on the season. Kayla Feairheller adds 12.6 points and posts 6.0 rebounds per game.

Sophomore Jennifer Fabian tallies 10.5 points per game while leading the team with 8.4 rebounds per contest and 48 blocks on the year.  Kasey Seitz triggers the offense with 4.1 assists per outing to go with 5.9 points.

Delaware Valley brings a 13-8 overall record and 6-4 conference mark after knocking off Eastern 81-56 on Saturday. The Aggies are averaging 68.0 points per game while allowing 65.1.

Eireann Anastasi leads the Delaware Valley offense with 15.5 points per game to go with 4.2 rebounds. Brenna Coll is second on the team in scoring with 14.3 points per contest while leading Delaware Valley in rebounding with 7.4 per outing. Brittany Wood chips in 10.6 points and 5.3 boards per game.

On the men's side, King's stands at 11-10 overall and 4-6 in the Freedom Conference after dropping a 61-52 decision to FDU-Florham on Saturday. The King's offense produces 75.4 points per game while on the defensive end the Monarchs are allowing just 70.8.

Senior guard Kyle Hammonds leads King's in scoring with 17.5 points per game to go with 4.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest. Fellow senior Joe Caffrey chips in 13.6 points, 5.1 boards and a team-leading 3.3 assists per contest. Caffrey ranks fifth in D-III with a 3.33 assist to turnover ratio.

Freshman Dan Rutecki tallies 10.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Tom Heston is the Monarchs top rebounder with 6.0 boards while scoring 7.9 points. Tim O'Shea and Nate Oliver have each chipped in 5.5 points off the bench.

Delaware Valley brings an 11-10 overall record and a 6-4 mark in Freedom Conference play after falling 87-78 against Eastern on Saturday. The Aggies post 76.1 points per contest while allowing 75.7.

Francis Arnold is Delaware Valley's leading scorer tallying 17.9 points per game to go with 4.9 rebounds. Chris Moran adds 12.5 points while leading the Aggies in rebounding with 8.7 boards per contest. Nick Sullivan chips in 11.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Jay Donovan is the fourth Delaware Valley player averaging double figure scoring with 11.7 points.
