WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 10, 2026) -- A new era is set to begin in McGrane Gymnasium as first-year head coach Phil Pierfy announced the 2026-27 King's College men's basketball schedule on Monday morning. The Monarchs are slated for one exhibition tune-up and 25 regular-season games, including 12 home contests and 15 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom matchups.
 
King's opens the season on November 5 with an exhibition contest at Lafayette before returning to McGrane Gymnasium for its home opener against cross-town rival Wilkes on November 10 at 7:00 p.m. The Monarchs then host Moravian on November 14 at 3:00 p.m. before traveling to Oneonta on November 18. King's returns home to face Penn College on November 21 at 1:00 p.m. before heading to Dickinson on November 23. The final game of November will see the Monarchs host Muhlenberg on November 30 at 7:00 p.m.
 
The Monarchs begin MAC Freedom play on December 2 with a road matchup at Delaware Valley. King's then travel up I-81 to face Scranton on December 13 before returning home to host Lebanon Valley on December 15 at 7:00 p.m. The final game of the 2026 calendar year sends the Monarchs to Elizabethtown on December 30.
 
The new year opens with a home conference contest against DeSales on January 3 at 4:00 p.m. before King's travels to Arcadia on January 6. The Monarchs return to McGrane Gymnasium for back-to-back home games against Misericordia on January 9 at 3:00 p.m. and defending MAC Freedom champion Stevens on January 13 at 7:00 p.m. Road trips to Marywood on January 16 and FDU-Florham on January 20 precede the final non-conference game of the season as King's travels to defending Division III national champion Mary Washington on January 23.
 
King's returns to conference action on January 27 against Delaware Valley at 7:00 p.m. before making the trip to DeSales on January 30. February begins with a road contest at Lebanon Valley on February 3 before the Monarchs host Arcadia on February 6 at 3:00 p.m. King's closes out its road schedule with trips to Stevens on February 10 and Misericordia on February 13 before wrapping up the regular season at home against FDU-Florham on February 16 at 7:00 p.m. and Marywood on February 20 at 3:00 p.m.
 
The 2027 MAC Freedom Tournament is set to begin with a play-in game on February 22, followed by semifinal matchups on February 24. The 2027 MAC Freedom Championship is scheduled for February 27, with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship.
