King's Basketball Games with Eastern Moved to Thursday

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. – The King's College basketball teams games originally scheduled for Wednesday night have been moved to Thursday due to impending winter weather. The women's game will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. while the men's game will follow at 8:00 p.m.

The Lady Monarchs are 5-14 overall and 1-7 in Freedom Conference play after dropping a 68-51 decision to DeSales on Saturday. King's averages 62.5 points per game while allowing opponents 72.9. Junior forward Marissa Manning leads the way offensively for the Lady Monarchs with 14.2 points as well as 7.4 rebounds per game. Freshman Kayla Feairheller adds 12.8 points and 6.2 boards per contest.

Sophomore Jennifer Fabian chips in 10.6 points per game while pulling down a team-leading 8.8 rebounds. Jessica McHugh has scored 5.8 points and grabbed 3.7 rebounds per game. Freshman Kasey Seitz triggers the offense with 3.6 assists per outing to go with 5.7 points.

Eastern brings an 11-8 overall mark and 6-2 league record into Thursday's contest. The Eagles scored 65.2 points per game while giving up 63.1. Meghan Nowak paces the Eastern offense with 15.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Kaitlyn Dougherty tallies 11.3 points and 4.2 boards per contest. Gina DiDomenico also averages double figure scoring with 10.3 points per outing.

On the men's side King's is 10-9 overall and 3-5 in Freedom Conference play while Eastern stands at 7-12 overall and 1-7 in league play. The Monarchs average 76.0 points per game while allowing 70.6. The Eagles are giving up 70.6 points while scoring 72.5.

The Monarch offense is led by 18.1 points from senior guard Kyle Hammonds. He also grabs 4.7 rebounds per game. Fellow senior Joe Caffrey adds 13.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest. Freshman Dan Rutecki is the third King's player averaging double-figure scoring with 10.6 per game to go with 5.4 rebounds.

Malcolm Garrison leads the Eagle attack with 13.7 points per game. Shaquan Turk chips in 11.9 points and 3.8 boards per contest. Jimmie Willis adds 10.9 points per outing.
