NultonWILKES-BARRE — Junior forward
Ivy Nulton, a Coughlin High School product, scored four goals, equaling the second highest number of goals scored in King's College women's soccer history, as the Lady Monarchs registered a 6-1 victory over host Baptist Bible College Wednesday in Clarks Summit.
With the win King's improved to 1-1-1 while the Defenders slipped to 0-4.
Baptist Bible took a 1-0 lead just 3:27 into the game on a goal by Emily Howell. King's tied the score when Nulton struck net off an
Alexandra Garrett assist at the 14:51 mark. Just 3:57 later, Nulton struck again, converting a pass from
Erin Laird ss the Lady Monarchs took a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.
Nulton would add her third straight goal after beating the Defender keeper one-on-one at 61:43. The score swelled to 4-1 when Garrett found the back of the net following a pass from Laird at 69:19. Just 1:41 later

For Nulton, the four goals was the most in a game for King's since the 2005 season when Lisa McMillan netted four against Lincoln University. The four tallies trailed only Meghan DeRosa's five goal school-record established against Keystone during the 2003 campaign.
Garrett finished the game with one goal and one assist to lead the Lady Monarchs offensively.
King's outshot Baptist Bible 38-6 and held a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. Lady Monarch goalie
Jessica Natale was forced to make only two saves in the game.
