King's Women's Soccer Settles for Double-OT Tie with Juniata

KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER BATTLE JUNIATA TO SCORELESS OVERTIME DRAW

WILKES-BARRE -- After 110 minutes of play the King's College and Juniata College women's soccer teams settled for a 0-0 double-overtime draw.

With the tie King's stands at 1-1-2 while Juniata is 2-4-1.

The game was a defensive struggle as little offense was generated Juniata outshot King's 8-5 and had a 4-2 advantage on shots on goal.  King's held a 5-2 lead in corner kicks.

The Lady Monarchs' best chance came at the 36 minute mark when Raquel Molina's shot caromed off the outstretched hand of Eagle keeper Kerry Leonard and bounced off the cross bar.

King's goalie Jessica Natale made four saves while Leonard posted two stops for the Eagles.

King's returns to the pitch Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. matchup at Mt. St. Vincent College.
