KING'S MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO WILLIAM PATERSON

WAYNE, NJ -- The King's College men's soccer team was unable to make a 2-1 halftime lead stand up as host William Paterson University rallied for a 3-2 victory Tuesday night in Wayne, NJ.

With the win William Paterson improved to 3-3 while the Monarchs fell to 5-2.

Keegan Fees gave King's a 1-0 lead 7:21 into the game off an assist from Chris Nygren. WPU tied the game just 1:39 late when he scored off a rebounded save.

King's took a 2-1 lead into the locker room when Brian Alifano scored unassisted.


The Monarchs would maintain their 2-1 lead until the 62:56 mark when Juan Londono scored the equalizer for the Pioneers, then the game winner 14 minutes remaining.

Paterson outshot King's 15-8 and held a 8-4 advantage in corner kicks. King's keeper Tyler Wilson made three saves.

The Monarchs return to play Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. game at Arcadia University in Glenside.
