King's Women's Soccer Falls at Penn State Berks

KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO PENN STATE BERKS

READING -- The host Penn State Berks women's soccer team scored twice in each half, en route to posting a 4-0 victory over King's College Wednesday night in Reading. With the win Berks improved to 1-1 while King's slipped to 0-1-1.

The game remained scoreless until the 21:33 mark when Lizzie Mummau struck net off a Chrissy Smith assist.  Just 1:25 later, Dana Sarcinello scored off a cross from Mummau to give the Lions a 2-0 lea at the break.

In the second half Berks again put together two quick back-to-back scores when Taylor Schwartz scored at 68:54 off a rebounded save, while Caitlin Deibler found he back of the net just 2:05 later for  the final goal of the game.

Berks outshot King's 19-7 while each team took four corner kicks.  Lady Monarch goalie Jessica Natale made four saves in the game.
King's will host Elizabethtown Saturday at 5:00 p.m. in McCarthy Stadium.
