KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER SETTLES FOR 0-0 TIE WITH FDU

MADISON, NJ --The King's College women's soccer team entered Tuesday night's matchup against Freedom Conference rival FDU-Florham tied for third-place in the Freedom Conference. After 110 minutes of play, nothing would change as the squads battled to a double-overtime 0-0 tie in Madison, NJ.

With the tie King's remains deadlocked with FDU in third place in the Freedom Conference with a 5-5-1 overall record while standing 1-1-1 in league play. FDU, meanwhile, is now 7-6-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the conference.

King's outshot FDU 14-11 and held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks. King's goalie Jessica Natale made eight saves in goal to pick up a shutout.

Good news for King's in the game is that top defender Christina Nassaney made her season debut in the game, seeing her first action of the season after recovering from an injury.  Nassaney helped the King's defense keep the Devils off the board.

King's returns to the field Saturday with a 3:30 p.m. conference matchup at cross-town rival Wilkes.
