KING'S MEN'S SOCCER GOES DOUBLE-OVERTIME TO DOWNN JUNIATA, 2-1

HUNGTINGDON -- Brian Fenster scored twice, including the game-winner in double-overtime as the King's College men's soccer team posted a 2-1 victory over host Juniata College in a non-conference matchup Monday in Hungtingdon. The game was a make-up contest after being rained out on Saturday.

With the win, King's improved to 5-1 while Juniata slipped to 2-1-1.

Juniata took a 1-0 lead when Chandler Steffan scored unassisted 24:54 into the game.  Kings sent the game into a 1-1 tie at the half when Fenster struck net off an assist from Chris Galeano.
The game remained tied for the next 66 minutes until Fenster scored off an assist from Daniel Hernandez 1:34 into the second overtime frame to give the Monarchs the victory.
King's outshot Juniata 19-10 and held a 10-6 advantage in shots-on-goal. King's also led 6-3 in corner kicks. Monarch goalie Owen Geedey made four saves in the game to earn the victory.
The win was an impressive one for King's, which played at home yesterday (Sunday) at 4:00 p.m. and then drove nearly three and one-half hours today to play the Eagles today.
King's returns to the pitch Saturday with a 7:00 p.m. contest against Arcadia University at McCarthy Stadium.
