KING'S MEN'S SOCCER RALLIES WITH TWO SECOND HALF GOALS TO DEFEAT ARCADIA 2-1

WILKES-BARRE, PA --- The King's College men's soccer team scored twice in the second half to rally past Arcadia University for a 2-1 victory at McCarthy Stadium on Saturday night during the Monarch's Homecoming.

The Monarchs improve to 5-1 with the victory and avenge last year's 7-3 loss to the Knights in Glenside. Arcadia falls to 3-3-1 with the loss.

Arcadia scored the only goal of the first half when Bradley McKim scored on a breakaway in the 18th minute. Brian Fenster tied the game up in the 58th minute with his team-leading fourth goal of the year when he bicycle kicked a ball from 20 yards out on the left wing into the upper right corner of the net. The Monarchs then got the game-winning goal six minutes later when Jonathan Nixon sent a cross from the right side past the on-coming goalkeeper to Scott Colombo who one-timed the ball into the empty net.

Both teams had 13 shots in the game though King's had a 5-4 advantage in shot on goals and Arcadia held a 7-5 advantage in corner kicks.

Brian Fenster and Scott Colombo scored a goal each for King's while Jonathan Nixon had an assist. Owen Geedey got the win in goal making three saves.

King's will now host Alfred University on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
