KING'S MEN'S SOCCER POSTS 2-1 ROAD WIN OVER PENN STATE ALTOONA

ALTOONA -- The King's College men's soccer team built a 2-0 lead en route to a 2-1 victory over host Penn State Altoona Wednesday night in Altoona.


With the win, King's improved to 8-2 on the year while Altoona slipped to 6-2.

King's opened the scoring at the 20:39 mark when Brendan Raab struck net off an assist from Daniel Lorandini.  The lead grew to 2-0 in the second half when Raul Cruz made good on a penalty kick at 62:10.

Altoona added a late goal when Coltin Ebersole scored with 2:38 left in the contest to set the final score.  

King's outshot Altoona 20-7 and owned an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.  Monarch goalie Owen Geedey made one save to pick up the win.

King's returns to the pitch Saturday when the Monarchs open Freedom Conference play with a 7:00 pm. home matchup against DeSales University at McCarthy Stadium.
