KING'S MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO R.I.T.
ROCHESTER, NY -- Anthony DeFeo scored once and handed out an assist to lead the Rochester Institute of Technology men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over visiting King's College Saturday in Rochester.
With the win Rochester improved to 1-1 while King's slipped to 1-1.
DeFeo oushed across the first goal off an assist from Reuben Marquez at 21:34.
The lead grew to 2-0 at 74:28 when Dean Kouroupas struck net off a feed by DeFeo. The game would remain scoreless the rest of the way as Rochester managed to keep King's off the scoreboard, despite the Monarchs owing a 8-6 advantage in shots on goal.
R.I.T. posted a 17-11 advantage in total shots while the host school also held a 6-5 lead in corner kicks. King's keeper Owen Geedey made four saves in net while Tiger goalie Peter Cinibunk had eight stops. 
King's will conclude its trip to Rochester Sunday with a 11:00 a.m. matchup at Nazareth College.
