King's Men's Soccer Registers 3-0 Win Over Nazareth

MONARCHS EARN 3-0 VICTORY OVER NAZARETH
 
ROCHESTER, NY -- Brian Fenster scored the game's first goal with just 1:57 left in the first half and the King's College men's soccer team added two more scores in the second stanza to post a 3-0 victory over host Nazareth College Sunday in Rochester, N.Y.
With the win, King's improved to 2-1 on the year while Nazareth slipped to 0-3.

Approaching a scoreless tie at the break, the Monarchs struck first when Kevin Hopkins found Fenster for a 1-0 lead at the 43:03 mark.  The score remained the same until the Monarchs pushed across two more goals within a five minute span. 
Chris Galeano scored unassisted at 72:54 before Jonathan Nixon converted a pass from Cassidy Tripolitis at 77:54.  
The King's defense took care of the rest, limiting Nazareth to just four shots on goal the entire game. Monarch goalies Owen Geedey and Tyler Wilson combined for four saves in the game.

King's held a 18-10 advantage in overall shots and tallied 10 shots on goal. The Monarchs also held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
King's return to action Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. matchup against Penn College of Technology at McCarthy Stadium in the Monarchs first home game of the season.
