KING'S SWIMMERS DROP PAIR TO MESSIAH, ARCADIA

GRANTHAM -- The King's College men's and women's swim teams dropped both ends of a tri-meet to host Messiah College and Arcadia University Thursday night in Grantham.
King's men (2-6) fell to Messiah 188-66 and also dropped a 166-82 verdict to Arcadia. The Lady Monarchs (5-4), meanwhile, lost to Messiah 205-51 and Arcadia by a 167-81 count.
Bryce Groshardt won the 100-breaststroke at 56.96, as well as the 100-freestyle at 49.97. He was also fourth in the 200-individual medley with a 2:09.42.
Nate Dubbs was third in the 1000-freestyle with a 11:07.42, and finished fourth in the 200-butterfly at 2:11.83. Randill DeAsis was third in the 100-breaststroke at 1:06.01 while Chris Soutter finished fourth in the 200-breaststroke with a 2:29.66.  Josh Shoemaker placed fourth in the 100-butterfly at 59.35.
For the women, Katie Fitch was third in the 1000-freestyle with a time of 11:49.39 and was also fourth in the 500-freestyle at 5:48.41. Rachel Jonas placed third in the 100-breaststroke at 1:15.45.  Hannah Oney touched third in the 200-breaststroke with a 2:41.88 and was fourth in the 100-breaststroke at 1:15.59.Â
Mikayla Miller finished fourth in the 100-freestyle with a 59.25 while Brigid Wynn was fourth in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:24.98.
King's will return to the pool January 23 with a tri-meet at the Wilkes-Barre C.Y.C. against Lycoming College and FDU-Florham
