KING'S EDGES WILKES WILKES 1-0 ON GALEANO GOAL WITH 0:13 LEFT
WILKES-BARRE -- Chris Galeano scored the game-winning goal with just 0:13 to play in regulation as the King's College men's soccer team posted an important 1-0 victory over cross-town rival Wilkes University Tuesday night at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win, King's improved to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in Freedom Conference play. Wilkes, meanwhile, slipped to 3-10 and 1-2.
King's managed the winning goal after a turnover with 0:28 left when Wilkes keeper Tim Gallagher's attempted goal kick sailed out of bounds at the Colonel-35 yard line.

The Monarchs quickly played the ball down the left sideline and Aidan DeCamillo's crossing pass to the middle of the box was drilled into the back of the net by Galeano for the one goal of the game.
King's held a 15-5 advantage in shots and a 9-2 lead in corner kicks. Monarch goalie Owen Geedey made four saves, as did Gallagher for Wilkes.
The Monarchs return to the pitch Saturday with a road trip to Purchase, NY to face league rival Manhattanville College at 1:00 p.m.
