King's Swimmers Post Wins Over Cabrini, Cedar Crest

KING'S SWIMMERS PICK UP FIRST WINS OF THE YEAR OVER CEDAR CREST, CABRINI

ALLENTOWN -- The King's College women's and men's swim teams picked victories Saturday. King's men defeated Cabrini 136-99 while the Lady Monarchs downed Cedar Crest 167-66 before handling Cabrini 145-106.

In the 1000-freestyle Katie Fitch was a winner with a time of 11:54.60. She was also second in the 500-freestyle at 5:50.65. In the women's 200-freestyle, Kirsten Siwy won with a time of 2:02.97. She then followed up with a victory in the 500-freestyle at 5:31.07.

Hannah Olney won the 100-breaststroke at 1:17.41 and the 200-breaststroke with a 2:44.74. Melina Good was a victor in the 50-freestyle with a 26.97. Brigid Wynn won the 200-backstroke at 2:22.12 while Lauren Pham captured the 100-butterfly at 1:07.75 and was second in the 200-butterfly with a 2:41.89.

Amanda Schwerdtman was second in the 1000-freestyle with a 2:11.35 while Meghan Whitt was second in the 100-backstroke at 1:04.80 and in the 100-butterfly with a 1:10.37. Mikayla Miller finished second in the 100-freestyle at 58.26.

King's women's 200-medley relay team of Whitt, Pham, Siwy, and Miller were winners at 1:58.57.

In the men's 1000-freestyle Chris Soutter was victorious with a 11:02.01. Bryce Groshardt won the 100-backstroke with a 55.01 and the 200-backstroke at 1:58.66 and was also second in the 100-butterfly with a 55.45.

Rhyce Hammaker captured the 50-freestyle at 22:42 and was second in the 100-freestyle with a 50.96. Dan Weekes won the 100-freestyle with a 49.11 and was second in the 200-freestyle at 1:53.36.

Randill DeAsis was second in the 100-breaststroke with a 1:05.94 and in the 500-freestyle at 5:33.91.

Nathaniel Dubbs won the 500-freestyle with a time of 5:26.87 and was second in the 200-butterfly at 2:16.55. Josh Shoemaker won the 200-breaststroke at 2:23.07 and was second in the 50-freestyle with a time of 23.36.

King's 200-medley relay team of Weekes, Aaron Griffith, John Kwasizur, and Chris Dionne were winners with a time of 1:44.55.
