King's Men's Soccer Drops Narrow 2-1 Decision at Centenary

KING'S MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO CENTENARY

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ -- The King's College men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to host Centenary College Wednesday in Hackettstown, NJ.

With the loss King's slipped to 5-6 while Centenary improved to 5-5.

King's took a 1-0 lead 9:50 into the game when Fabio Massa scored on a leaping header following a cross from Alastair Dinnan. Centenary knotted the score at the 16:52 mark on a goal by Richie Castro, then added what proved to be the game-winner at 30:05  when Castro scored his second goal. Neither team would score over the final 45 minutes of play.

King's outshot Centenary 22-15 and held a 14-5 advantage in corner kicks. Monarch goalie Owen Geedey made six saves.

King's returns to the field Saturday with a 12:00 noon matchup at Freedom Conference rival DeSales University
