KISTNER'S FIRST CAREER GOAL LEAD KING'S TO 1-0 VICTORY AT DESALES

CENTER VALLEY, PA --- Senior captain Philip Kistner scored his first career goal in the 75th minute to lead the King's College men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory at DeSales University on Saturday afternoon in Center Valley.

The Monarchs snap the Bulldogs' seven-game unbeaten streak and improve to 6-6 overall with the win. They also even their conference mark at 1-1. The Bulldogs fall to 6-5-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The two teams played a pretty even first half with each team recording three shots. The Bulldogs had two of their shots on goal while the Monarchs had one shot on goal. The Monarchs were finally able to get on the board in the 75th minute when Kistner found the back of the net for his first goal in 49 games for the Monarchs. Alastair Dinnan and Kevin Mazol assisted on the goal for King's.

The Monarchs held a 10-9 shot advantage while DeSales had a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Owen Geedey made three saves to record his fourth shutout win of the season. Dan Sulpizo made five saves for the Bulldogs.

King's will return to the pitch on Tuesday when they host cross-town rival Wilkes University in the team's first home game since September 24th. The Monarchs and Colonels will kick-off at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
