KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER DROP 4-0 DECISION AT DESALES

CENTER VALLEY, PA --- Gabby Lucchese scored three goals to lead the defending MAC Freedom champions DeSales University women's soccer team to a 4-0 defeat of King's College on Saturday afternoon in Center Valley.

The Bulldogs improved their overall record to 6-6 and their conference record to 2-0 with the win. King's falls to 3-7 overall and 0-2 in conference play with the loss.

Lucchese recorded her first goal in the 33rd minute off assists from Angelica Bertola and Sydney Amato. Her second goal came in the 55th minute off assists from Jess Wetherhold and Isabel McPeak. She then finished the hat trick in the 62nd minute off an assist from Bertola. Amato scored the fourth and final goal for the Bulldogs in the 72nd minute off an assist from Wetherhold.

The Bulldogs outshot King's 13-9 and had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Amy Barge had five shots for King's while Danielle Putnam, Kristen Ryan, Allie Balotin, and Savannah Tucker had a shot each. Ally McMahon made one save in goal.

King's will be back in action on Wednesday when they host cross-town rival Wilkes University at 5:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
