KINGS MEN'S SOCCER POSTS 2-0 WIN OVER MT. ST. MARY'S

POTSDAM, NY -- The King's College men's soccer team scored one goal in each half as the Monarchs posted a 2-0 victory over Mt. St. Marry's College in the consolation game of the Potsdam State University College Cup Sunday in Potsdam, NY.

With the won King's improved to 1-3 while Mt. St. Mary's slipped to 1-4.

King's took a 1-0 lead just 6:37 into the game when Chris Galeano scored off an assist from Steven Valencia. The Monarchs added their final goal at the 61:23 mark when Brian Fenster beat a defender one-on-one and struck net.

King's outshot Mt. St. Mary's 18-11 and held a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks.  Monarch goalie Owen Geedey made three saves on the day.

King's  returns to the pitch Wednesday night when the Monarchs host Ursinus College at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
