KING'S MEN'S SOCCER DOWNS PENN COLLEGE, 1-0
WILLIAMSPORT -- Will Brack scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the second half as the King's College men's soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over host Penn College of Technology Tuesday night in Williamsport.
With the win, the Monarchs improved to 5-4 while the Wildcats slipped to 2-7.
King's controlled play for the majority of the match but could not find the back of the net. Despite holding a 9-3 advantage in shots over the game's opening half, the teams remained tied 0-0 after 45 minutes.
That would change in the second stanza when Brack drilled in a shot from the top of the box at the 59:42 mark for the game's lone goal.Â
King's finished with a 24-7 advantage in shots while owning a 10-1 lead in corner kicks.  Monarch goalie Own Geedey picked up the shutout win by making two saves.
King's will open Freedom Conference play Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. matchup at Misericordia University.
