KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS HEADING TO MANHATTANVILLE FOR FREEDOM CONFERENCE DOUBLEHEADER

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's and men's basketball teams will return to Freedom Conference play Saturday with a Freedom Conference doubleheader in Purchase, NY against Manhattanville College the women's game will tip off at 1:00 PM while the men's contest follows at 3:00 PM. The King's women stand at 2-11 overall and 0-3 in the league after a 69-59 loss to defending Freedom Conference champion FDU-Florham on Wednesday. Manhattanville is 5-8 and 1-2 in the conference following a 65-40 loss at DeSales on Wednesday.

King's has been led thus far by freshman power-forward Rebecca Prociak who averages 12.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per-game.  Sophomore forward Alexis Steeber follows with 9.5 points and 5.4 rebounds while senior small forward Kayla Feairheller tallies 9.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and a team-high 15 three-pointers. Junior center Olivia Hoffman adds 8.6 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 54 blocked shots Senior guard Shae Grim chips in with 4.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. The Lady Monarchs average 53.3 points per-game while allowing 63.7 each contest.

Manhattanville is led by sophomore forward Kayleah McGuire with  11.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per-game. Sophomore guard Ivy Coles follows with 8.8 points and 2.8 while senior guard Brittany Deieso adds 8.7 points and 4,5 boards. The Valiants average 56.7 points while allowing 53.3.

King's men will look to snap a seven-game losing streak as the Monarchs enter the matchup with a 4-9 record and are 0-3 in Freedom play after a 77-71 loss to FDU-Florham on Wednesday. Manhattanville is 5-9 overall and 1-2 in league competition after a 69-53 loss to DeSales Wednesday.

King's has been paced by senior power forward Dan Rutecki who leads the team with 15.5 points and 8.1 rebounds while sharing the team led with 28 assists. Junior guard Connor Callejas follows with 13.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 28 assists, and a team-high 30 three-pointers while senior guard John Fazzini adds 7.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 27 assists, and 17 three-pointers. Sophomore guard Jake Barber has tallied 6.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 14 three pointers while junior forward Chris Fazzini contributes 6.7 points and 3.2 rebounds. The Monarchs average 70.9 points while yielding 73.9 each game.

Manhattanville is led by junior forward Alex Tuci with 15.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 21 three-pointers. Sophomore guard Willie Britton follows with 12.4 points and 3.7 rebounds, while senior guard Charles Nardone adds 8.8 points and 3.9 boards. The Valiants average 63.2 point while allowing 70.3.

After concluding their games with Manhattanville both King's teams with then will return home for a big conference doubleheader against local rival Misericordia Wednesday night. The women tip off at 6:00 PM with the men to follow at 8:00 PM.
