KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS HOSTING DELAWARE VALLEY IN FREEDOM CONFERENCE DOUBEHEADER
WILKES-BARRE — With six games left in the regular-season, the King's College women's and men's basketball teams have much work to do in an effort to reach the MAC Freedom Conference Tournament. Both squads dug themselves into deep holes during the first half of the league schedule but managed to win their first games in the second half of the conference slate. King's squads will have another opportunity to gain ground Wednesday night with a home Freedom Conference doubleheader against Delaware Valley University in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The women's game tips off at 6:00 PM with the men's game to follow at 8:00 PM.

The King's women stand at 4-14 overall and 2-6 in the Freedom Conference league after a 52-48 home victory over Manhattanville on Saturday. The Lady Monarchs are currently tied for sixth place in the league with Manhattanville. Delaware Valley is 8-11 and 4-4 in conference games following a 74-50 home win over Wilkes on Saturday. The Aggies are tied for fourth place with Eastern University and are two games ahead of King's in the league standings. The Aggies posted a 47-43 home victory over King's in the first meeting between the teams on January 14 in a game the Lady Monarchs led 41-40 with 2:22 left in the contest..
King's has been led by freshman power-forward
Rebecca Prociak who averages 11.8 points and 7.0 rebounds per-game. Senior small forward
Kayla Feairheller follows with 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and team highs of 38 assists and 22 three-pointers. Sophomore forward
Alexis Steeber has tallied 9.1 points and 4.8 rebounds while junior center
Olivia Hoffman adds 8.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 75 blocked shots. Senior guard
Shae Grim posts 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds while sophomore guard-forward
Erin Schmidt nets 3.7 points with 19 three-pointers. Senior point-guard
Kasey Seitz chips in with 2.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 21 assists. The Lady Monarchs average 53.8 points per-game while allowing 62.9 each contest.
Delaware Valley is paced by sophomore guard-forward Danielle Skedzielewski with 16.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 29 three-pointers. Freshman guard Ashley Smink follows with 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists with 34 three-pointers while senior center Sam Foy chips in with 10.6 points and 4.7 rebounds with 24 treys. The Aggies average 59.4 points while yielding 61.5 per-game.
The King's snapped a frustrating 12-game losing streak on Saturday, the longest in coach J.P. Andrejko's 16-year career, when the Monarchs picked up their first conference win of the season with a 76-62 home win over Manhattanville. King's enters the matchup with a 5-14 record and are 1-7 in Freedom play, two games behind FDU-Florham and Manhattanville, who are tied for sixth with 3-5 conference records. K=Delaware Valley, meanwhile, is tied for first-place in the Freedom Conference with Eastern University as the Aggies come into the game with a 11-8 overall record while standing 6-2 in league competition. Delaware Valley posted a 74-64 home win over the Monarchs in the first meeting between the teams on January 4.
King's has been paced by senior power forward
Dan Rutecki who leads the team with 14.7 points and 8.1 rebounds while standing second on the team with 38 assists. Junior guard
Connor Callejas follows with 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 40 assists, and a team-high 46 three-pointers. Sophomore guard
Jake Barber has tallied 7.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 24 three pointers. Senior guard
John Fazzini adds 6.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, 34 assists, and 22 three-pointers while junior forward
Chris Fazzini contributes 6.1 points and 3.7 rebounds. Freshman guard
Tyler Millan has tallied 5.6 points with 20 three-pointers while rookie center
Andrew Hudak chips in with 5.2 points and 4.7 boards. The Monarchs average 68.6 points while allowing 71.1 per-game.
Delaware Valley is headed by senior guard Tyliek Kimbrough who averages 16.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, and 18 three-pointers. Senior forward Tyrea Williams adds 12.1 points and 10.1 boards while sophomore forward Alex Matsinye chips in with 10.9 points. 5.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists with 17 three-pointers. Sophomore guard Mike Cianciulli nets 8.8 points with a team-high 33 three-pointers. The Aggies average 73.2 points while yielding 72.3 points each contest.
After concluding their games with Delaware Valley, both King's teams will return to Freedom Conference play Saturday at Eastern University in St. Davids. The women tip off at 1:00 PM with the men to follow at 3:00 PM.
