KING'S WOMEN'S SOCCER UPSETS 1ST PLACE DESALES 1-0

WILKES-BARRE -- Andrea Galvin scored the only goal of the game as the King's College women's soccer team posted a 1-0 upset victory over MAC Freedom Conference co-leader DeSales University Saturday at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win King's improved to 7-5-2 and 3-3 in the MAC Freedom while DeSales slipped to 9-6 and 4-2.
King's scored what proved to be the winning goal just 5:16 into the game when Andrea Galvin scored on a drive from 28 yards out that entered the goal just under the crossbar.
DeSales had a chance to tie the game on a controversial penalty kick call in the 83rd minute by Rachel Medlat's shot was wide. The Bulldogs has another chance in the 85th minute by King's goalie Elizabeth Nolen saved a shot from 10 yards out by Angelica Bertola to keep DeSales off the board.
Nolen made five saves in the game for King's, which will host Neumann Univerity in its final home game of the season Tuesday at 5:00 PM.
