KING'S SWIM TEAMS SWEEP LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE FRIDAY NIGHT

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College swimming teams put on perhaps their best performances of the season as both squads defeated Lebanon Valley College Friday night in Scandlon Gym. The women won 123-73 while the men earned a 109-62 triumph.
With the win the King's men improved to 4-0 while the women upped their nark to 3-1.
King's was outstanding throughout the meet as the men's and women's teams combined to win 13 of the 17 individual events competed in, including having the top two finishers in 10 individual events.
Melina Good touched first in the 50-freestyle with a 26.77 and the 100-freestyle at 58.41.
Kirsten Siwy won the 400-individual medley at 4:51.77 and the 500 freestyle with a 5:29.88.
Kaelyn Gardner was victorious in the 100-butterfly with a 1:02.57 and also in the 100-backstroke at 1:05.95.
Amanda Schwerdtman won the 1000-freestyle with a time of 11:38.22 while Alyssa Gesek captured the 200-freestyle at 2:08.09.
King's 200-relay team of Noelle Pederson, Siwy, Gardner, and Abbi Strennan were the winners with a time of 1:58.31.
For the men,
Dan Weekes was victorious in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:52.34 while James Martin was a winner in the 50-freestyle at 22.92.
Chris Dionne won the 100-butterfly with a 56.67 while
Bryce Groshardt captured the 100-freestyle at 50.12. Tyler Higgins touched first in the 500-freestyle with a 5:16.14.
The Monarchs' 200-medley relay team of Jason Yerger, Chris Michael, Weekes, and
Rhyce Hammaker won with a time of 1:43.99.
