KING'S WOMEN'S ICE HOCKEY FALLS AT STEVENSONÂ
REISTERTOWN, MD -- Chelsea Blackburn scored three goals to power the host Stevenson University women's ice hockey team to a 10-0 victory over King's College Friday afternoon at the Sportsplex Arena.
With the win Stevenson improved to 1-7-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the UCHC while King's fell to 0-6-1 and 0-4-1 in league play.
Stevenson scored two goals in the first 6:19 of the game before building a 4-0 lead at the ed of the first period. The Mustangs added three goals in ech of the second and third periods to walk away with the victory.
Stevenson outshot King's 72-11. King's starting goalie Emma Zeveney played the first period and made 15 saves while allowing four goals. Kiva Sierra Stolz played the last two periods and posted 47 saves while allowing six goals.
The teams will play the second game of their weekend series Saturday at 3:30 PM at the Sportsplex Arena.
