KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS TRAVELING TO EASTERN SATURDAY
WILKES-BARRE — The King's College basketball teams will return to the court on Saturday with a doubleheader at Freedom Conference rival Eastern University in St. Davids. The women tip off at 1:00 PM with the men to follow at 3:00 PM.

The King's women stand at 4-15 overall and 2-7 in the Freedom Conference league after a 56-43 home loss to Delaware Valley on Wednesday. The Eagles are 13-7 overall and 4-5 in the league after a 68-57 road loss to Misericordia on Wednesday. The teams played their first regular-season game back on January 7 with Eastern posting a 53-46 triumph in Scandlon Gymnasium.
King's has been led thus far by freshman power-forward
Rebecca Prociak who averages 11.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per-game. Senior small forward
Kayla Feairheller follows with 8.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and team highs of 39 assists and 22 three-pointers. Sophomore forward
Alexis Steeber has tallied with 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds while junior center
Olivia Hoffman adds 8.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 77 blocked shots. Senior guard
Shae Grim posts 5.3 points and 3.1 rebounds while sophomore guard-forward
Erin Schmidt nets 4.1 points with 23 three-pointers. Senior point-guard
Kasey Seitz chips in with 2.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 22 assists. The Lady Monarchs average 53.3 points per-game while allowing 62.5 each contest.
Eastern is led by senior center Emily Lavin with 16.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 72 blocked shots. Regie Robinson follows with 13.3 points and 10.1 rebounds while Taylor Prince adds 12.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists with 20 three-pointers. Amanda Riiff chips in with 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 46 three-pointers. The Eagles average 63.6 points while yielding 60.5 points per-game.
The King's men stand at 5-15 overall and 1-8 in Freedom Conference play after nearly upsetting league co-leader Delaware Valley 61-58 Wednesday night. Eastern, meanwhile, shares the conference lead with Delaware Valley with a 12-8 overall mark while standing 7-2 in league games. The Eagles posted an impressive 87-64 route of fellow contender Misericordia on the Cougars' home court Wednesday night, snapping Misericordia's four-game win streak holding the team far below its 101.0 points per-game average the sat three contests. Eastern defeated King's 75-64 in their first meeting on January 7 in Wilkes-Barre.
King's has been paced by senior power forward
Dan Rutecki who leads the team with 14.8 points and 8.1 rebounds while standing second on the team with 39 assists. Junior guard
Connor Callejas follows with 13.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 41 assists, and a team-high 49 three-pointers. Sophomore guard
Jake Barber has tallied 7.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 24 three pointers. Senior guard
John Fazzini adds 6.5 points, 2.4 rebounds, 36 assists, and 23 three-pointers while junior forward
Chris Fazzini contributes 5.7 points and 3.8 rebounds. Freshman guard
Tyler Millan has tallied 5.5 points with 21 three-pointers while rookie center
Andrew Hudak chips in with 5.2 points and 4.8 boards. The Monarchs average 68.1 points while allowing 70.6 per-game. Defensively, the Monarchs have held five of their last six opponents to no more than 65 points.
Eastern is led by Shaquan Turk with 18.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 57 three-pointers. Victor Pena follows with 12.8 points and 8.8 rebounds while Austin Duncan adds 12.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 33 three-pointers. The Eagles average 78.7 points while yielding 77.4.
After concluding their games with Eastern, both King's teams will return to Freedom Conference play Wednesday at local rival Misericordia in Dallas. The women tip off at 6:00 PM with the men to follow at 8:00 PM.
