KING'S MEN'S SOCCER POSTS DRAMATIC 2-1 WIN OVER WIDENER ON DECAMILLO LATE GOAL

CHESTER -- Aidan DeCamillo scored the game-winning goal with 1:32 remaining as the King's College men's soccer team posted a dramatic 2-1 victory over host Widener University Saturday in Chester.

With the win King's improved to 5-3 while Widener slipped to 2-3-2.

The Monarchs opened the scoring at the 36:17 mark when August Axtman headed in a free kick into the box by Kevin Mazol.

The Pride tied the game when Noah Saba scored at 62:40. 

The winning goal came when Sam Pipicelli delivered a perfect through ball into the box where DeCamillo made good on the game-winning shot.

King's outshot Widener 13-12, including an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Monarchs also held a 6-3 lead in corner kicks  King's goalie Owen Geedey had two saves in net.

King's will host Alvernia University Wednesday at 7:00 PM at McCarthy Stadium.
