KING'S BASKETBALL TEAMS TO FACE MISERICORDIA ON WEDNESDAY
WILKES-BARRE, PA --- The King's College basketball teams will return to the court on Wednesday with a Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom doubleheader against local rival Misericordia University in Dallas. The men tip off at 6:00 p.m. with the women to follow at 8:00 p.m.

The Monarch men are 7-8 overall and are off to a surprising 3-1 mark in conference play after being picked to finish last in the preseason poll. King's is coming off a 83-70 victory over Manhattanville on Saturday where they used a 28-7 run in the first nine minutes of the second half to break open a two-point halftime lead. King's currently sits in a four-way tie for second in the conference standings with DeSales, Eastern, and Wilkes. The Monarchs will face Wilkes and DeSales in their next two games after facing the Cougars to wrap up the first half of the conference schedule. Wilkes and DeSales will face each other in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday night.
Connor Callejas leads the Monarchs scoring 18.1 points per game while knocking down 41 three-pointers and dishing out 2.3 assists.
Chris Fazzini adds 11.3 points and a team-high 5.7 rebounds per game while
Noah Tanner is scoring 9.9 points per game and leads the team with 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per games.
Tyler Millan contributes 8.7 points and 3.4 rebounds and
Joshua Bailey tallies 8.3 points, 2.1 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.
Lenny Radziak is averaging 5.8 points off the bench while
Tony Maloney tallies 5.0 points and 2.9 rebounds.
The Monarchs are averaging a conference-best 81.9 points per game while allowing 84.1. Despite changing to a faster style of play this year King's is one of the best teams in the nation in turnovers. The Monarchs are ranked 11th in the nation forcing 21.9 per game while committing just 15.1. Their turnover margin of 6.8 is ranked also ranked 12th in the nation. King's is also ranked 14th in the nation with 11.1 steals per game.
Misericordia, the defending MAC Freedom Champions, enters the game with a 9-6 overall record and sit atop the standings with a perfect 4-0 mark in conference games. The Cougars rallied in the second half to defeat Delaware Valley 84-75 after being down by five at halftime on Saturday in Doylestown.
Jason Kenny leads the Cougars with 19.5 points and 3.7 assists per game while pulling down 4.5 rebounds. Tre Fields is averaging 14.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists while Noah Rivera adds 11.0 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Tony Harding contributes 10.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while Stone McCreary is scoring 8.8 points per game while knocking down a team-high 37 three-pointers off the bench. Tyerell Mann is scoring 5.7 points per game while Alec Rodway adds 4.1 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.7 rebounds per game.
Misericordia is averaging 79.9 points per game while giving up 74.5. The Cougars are committing a conference-best 12.7 turnovers per game while forcing 15.6.
The Lady Monarchs enter the nightcap of the doubleheader with an 8-7 overall record and 3-1 mark in conference play after handing Manhattanville their second loss of the year with a 46-39 victory in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday in a defensive battle. King's is currently in a three-way tie for first place in the conference standings with FDU-Florham and DeSales.
Rebecca Prociak has led King's this year averaging 13.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. She has been a force in the paint during conference play recording two of her six double-doubles and fell just one rebound shy of her fourth straight double-double on Saturday. Since the calendar year turned to 2018 she has averaged 15.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
Mackenzie Yori is averaging 12.0 points, 2.1 assists, and a team-leading 1.8 steals per game while knocking down 31 threes.
Alexis Steeber adds 11.5 points and 5.6 rebounds while
Olivia Hoffman fills up the stat sheet with 8.5 points and leads the team with 8.5 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, and 2.9 assists while recording 1.7 steals per game.
Lindsey Dippre scores 5.3 points and has connected on 17 three-pointers off the bench.
King's is averaging 61.0 points per game while allowing 59.9. The Monarchs are winning the turnover battle this year forcing 18.2 while committing just 17.2 per game. King's is ranked as one of the best defensive team in the conference. They are ranked third in scoring defense, third in defensive field goal percentage, second in blocks, fourth in steals, fourth in turnovers forced, and lead the conference in fouls per game.
Misericordia comes into the game with an 8-6 overall record and 1-2 mark in conference play after dropping a 65-59 decision at Delaware Valley on Saturday. The Cougars are currently 1.5 games back from the conference leaders and one game back of the fourth spot in the standings.
Rachel Carmody leads the team with 11.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Japriya Carroll contributes 10.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while Paige Wampole averages 9.0 points and 8.3 rebounds. Quintessa Zamolyi adds 7.1 points and 4.0 rebounds and Jordan Barth tallies 4.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game coming off the bench.
The Cougars are scoring 65.9 points per game while allowing 52.7. They are winning the rebounding battle this year grabbing a conference-best 50.9 while allowing just 36.9. Misericordia is ranked second in the conference in scoring defense, defensive field goal percentage, and fouls per game.
After Wednesday's games the Monarchs will finish the week at cross-town rival Wilkes University on Saturday. The women will tip-off at 12:00 p.m. followed by the men at 2:00 p.m.
